Team Drivers To Enjoy New Bonus Program At U.S. Xpress

by Jake Tully - Published: 2/12/2018

Earlier today, Tennessee-based North American Logistics provider U.S. Xpress announced that it would launch a new program for team drivers with the ability to earn $50,000 in bonuses and up to four weeks of paid vacation in one year.

The new incentive program for current and future team drivers at the company, TeamMAX Bonus will help US Xpress compete with expedited delivery expectations in the country and offer greater incentives to team drivers who may help fulfill these shipping needs.

“With the continued growth of e-commerce, more and more consumers expect their packages to arrive within 1-2 days, not in three or four days,” said Eric Fuller, CEO of U.S. Xpress. “This dynamic has completely changed how U.S. Xpress supports the shipping demands of our customers today, especially when it comes to major retailers like Amazon, Walmart and others who are driving the need for expedited freight services to record levels in the trucking industry.”

Fuller also explained that the bonus reflects a shift in the industry to reward drivers for enduring the challenges of the lifestyle as well as the challenges that trucking jobs present themselves.

“Recruiting and retaining team drivers in today’s highly competitive job market is not just about pay,” said Fuller. “It’s also about a lifestyle. This is why U.S. Xpress specifically designed the new bonus program as a way for new and current team drivers to make more money but also to earn up to four weeks of paid vacation each year.”

U.S. Xpress reports that team drivers associated with the TeamMAX program will see supplemental perks such as vacation incentives and incentives for bonuses as well as priority for the latest equipment and the ability to see up to $0.82 per mile, among other additional incentives that the program offers.

TeamMAX drivers will also be able to enjoy benefits that other company drivers receive such as vision, medical and dental benefits and a 401(k) matching program in addition to their added bonuses.

“When drivers think about teaming, we want them to think about U.S. Xpress,” said Fuller. “This means if a solo driver, or even a student driver who is about to graduate from truck driving school, has ever thought about becoming a team driver, now is the time to make the switch. We can help these individual drivers find the right partner for team driving, get them out on the road making money and keeping our customers’ freight moving.”
