Customers of KAG To Support Pay Increases For Company Drivers

Earlier today bulk transportation and logistics provider, North Canton, Ohio-based The Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) alongside the company’s customers have partnered together to support increases in pay for the company drivers.

In a press release issued earlier this month, KAG, the largest bulk transportation and logistics provider in North America announced plans for an increase in driver pay in September of 2017 in order to help combat the issue of driver shortages in the industry.

KAG reports that due a successful campaign of raising driver pay, the increase went into effect on January 1^st of this year.

"We are thankful, but not surprised, that our valued customers understood the consequences of an impending driver shortage and took action with us to support this critical role within our country's economy," said President and CEO of KAG Bruce Blaise. "Our customers recognize that the safe and secure delivery of their products is imperative to their business success. Similarly, as the flagship transportation company in the liquid bulk industry, we understand the importance of retaining and recruiting the best driversin the business.”

KAG reports that the driver pay increase program will implement guaranteed pay increases over the course of the next three years in order to bring driver pay at the company to a level that is successful in attracting new talent and meeting the needs of company growth.

Additionally, KAG reports that its pay increases will require the participation of its customers through securing rate increases in order to provide funding towards the pay raise initiative.
