GATS Attendees Eligible For MVR Discount From Corra Group

by Jake Tully - Published: 8/21/2017

Those who are attending the 2017 Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, Texas this year may find a limited time opportunity in which to receive their driving record background checks through Corra Group.

For 2017 Great American Trucking Show (GATS) attendees, motor vehicle driving records will be offered a discount price through employment screening company Corra Group, with a reported rate of $5.00 per Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for companies with five or more drivers plus any state Department of Motor Vehicle Fees.

Corra Group Co-Founder Gordon Basichis reports that the offerings of the company currently serve the active trucking industry with services that enable drivers to keep up with legal compliances.

“Corra Group services hundreds of trucking and transportation companies,” said Basichis. “Truckers come to us for their employment screening needs, including the annual MVR that is run on every commercial driver, to stay compliant with the Department of Transportation. “We are a full-service company.”

According to Basichis, in order to receive the MVR discount a driver must show proof of attendance for GATS, with a suggested method of emailing proof of driver registration directly to Corra Group.

“This is not an offer that will last forever,” said Basichis. “Our discounted $5.00 offer runs from the show until September 30th. And then its’s back to regular pricing. I should note that we base our pricing on volume, so the more drivers you have in your company, the cheaper the price of the MVR.”

Basichis reports that Corra Group will offer a package of trucking-related background checks in addition to the advertised DMV driving records.

Additionally, Basichis reported that the timing of the discount for the background check service coincides with GATS as a way in which to celebrate the industry and aid American drivers.

“We think The Great American Trucking Show provides a great service to the trucking industry,” said Basichis. “At the show, truckers can meet with more than 500 exhibitors, showing off everything from truck, trailer, and engine parts, to some of the more advanced technology. In appreciation of its service to the trucking community, and given the difficulties within the industry over the last few years, we figured we should help give the drivers a break.”

The Great American Trucking Show will be held from August 24th – August 26th of this year in Dallas Texas at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center.
