Coca-Cola Using Trucks To Promote Jobs For Drivers In Atlanta

In an effort to recruit more drivers as well as employees to other sectors of its business, the Atlanta division of Coca-Cola Bottling Company is using its current fleet to bring in new employees to the company.

Coca-Cola Bottling Company reports that it is using the very trucks that potential drivers may operate in order to recruit drivers to the company, with decals on the vehicles communicating open positions in the Atlanta area.

According to Coca-Cola Bottling Company, the company is currently seeking commercial drivers as well as warehouse material handlers, merchandisers and other open positions that will be operating out of the metro Atlanta sales centers located in College Park, Georgia and Sandy Springs, Georgia.

Mike Suco, Vice President of the East Region for Coca-Cola UNITED reports that using company trucks as a way to advertise open positions has the potential for visibility.

"Our trucks are already moving billboards for our brand, and we've found that this is a great opportunity for communities to know we are recruiting new employees in Atlanta," said Suco.”

Coca-Cola Bottling Company says that the decals displayed on the trucks reportedly lead applicants to the company’s website in order to find out more information about the open positions.

Victor Ragland, Atlanta Division Director for Coca-Cola reports that drivers have proved to be effective representatives of the company, especially in speaking to those who may be interested in a driving career at the company themselves.

"Our drivers are excellent ambassadors for Coca-Cola," said Ragland. "The 'Now Hiring' decals have generated conversations with our drivers and potential future employees about how you can make a difference, be a part of a team, and build or further your career at Atlanta Coca-Cola."

Coca-Cola reports that the Birmingham, Alabama-based Coca-Cola Bottling Company United obtained franchise territory including Atlanta with a vision of growing the team in the College Park and Sandy Springs markets.
