MFPS Transport Seeking Partners For Food Distribution

MFPS Transport, Inc. announced yesterday that the transportation company is currently seeking partnership opportunities for haul-back designated runs in its distribution area of Chambersburg, Pa. in order to serve its current client base.

MFPS Transport, is an owned subsidiary of Martin’s Famous Pastry Shoppe, and the primary transportation fleet for the food company’s Famous Potato Rolls and Bread.

According to Martin’s Famous Pastry Shoppe, the area of distribution for its product has recently expanded, and the entity is searching for other enterprises that wish to work alongside and see advantages from MFPS Transportation.

"We strive to move finished product from the end of the bakery line to the appropriate warehouse accurately and on time,” said director of operations for MFPS Transport, Brian Ramer, “Our teams stage finished product, drive it to warehouses, maintain DOT compliance in all transport operations, and perform maintenance on our trucks. We are extremely proud of our safety record. It will be nice to partner with other transport companies where we can mutually benefit from our distribution patterns.”

MFPS Transport reports managing over 70 OTR trucks, 100 trailers and 120 employees. The trucking fleet estimates they drive nearly 6 million miles a year with deliveries to over 90 warehouses in the current distribution area.

According to the trucking fleet, MFPS Transport utilizes both dry van trailers and temperature-controlled refrigerator trailers for clients in their delivery area. Both team drivers and solo drivers are used for varying distances of the long haul deliveries that MFPS Transport provides.

Though MFPS Transport is owned in full by Martin’s Famous Pastry Shoppe, Inc, the transportation company was established as a separate entity in 2016. More information on MFPS Transport can be found at their site.
