Cross-Border Carrier Polaris Announces Accquistions, Growth Projected

The Canadian-based trucking company Polaris Transportation Group announced earlier today it’s acquisition of fellow north of the border trucking company J.G. Drapeau Ltd. In addition to Commercial Warehousing Limited, based out of Toronto.


Polaris, a company that makes runs into both Canada and The United States has announced that both Commercial Warehousing and J.G. Drapeau will continue to see leadership under Margaret Hogg, General Manager.

“We are thrilled to be welcoming another best-in-class company to the PTG family,” said Larry Cox, Polaris Transportation Group President. “Drapeau is an award-winning carrier with a top tier safety record, strong management team, and consistent financial performance over their 47 years in the industry.

Cox noted that the acquisition of Polaris is beneficial to strengthening the company’s expertise in warehousing for specialized products as well as distributing full- truckload work into Canada and the United States.

J.G. Drapeau and Commercial Warehousing Limited also expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition noting Polaris’ renowned safety record and work culture.

The acquisition of Drapeau and Commercial is the third for the Canadian company, in a reported effort of acquisitive and organic growth.

For over 20 years, Polaris Transportation Group has been the largest ltl cross-border carrier based in Canada that is privately held.
