According to the companies involved, the location of Coal City, Illinois is within a close range to some of the world’s largest intermodal yards, nearly 60 miles southwest from Chicago.

It is the hope of the new Coal City facility to aid both growth and alignment of several modes of transportation and logistics and to increase the speed and effiency at which these particular facets of the industry operate.

With plans to be operational in the first month of 2018, Gold Standard Distribution is expected to provide more efficient intermodal transit with 15 Distribution Centers located across the United States.

G&D Hoffman Transportation, currently headquartered in Channahon, IL has been known as a bulk transporter in the country of both liquid and dry goods. In addition to their trucking fleet, the transportation company currently has three large-scale railroad transloading sites located in Arkansas and Illinois.

Founded in 1950, M. Holland promotes itself as one of the most extensive distributors of plastic resin in the country.

Major Prime Plastics, based out of the Villa Park, Illinois, sees over 50 years of distribution and packing within the thermoplastic industry.

Both G&D Hoffman Transportation and Major Prime Plastics have provided logistic services to M. Holland for over three decades.
