XRS Corp. is hosting a special event this week at the Mid-America Trucking Show to launch a new “listening panel” made up of truck drivers. The company's Driver Xperience Board will kick off on Thursday, March 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. and introduce the trucking industry to a new approach in customer feedback. Giving truck drivers a designated platform to offer feedback on in-cab technology and how it impacts their life on the road.

XRS's new advisory board will be comprised of owner-operators and company drivers, with its purpose being to provide feedback for XRS to develop and implement driver-focused features for its mobile fleet optimization platform, (which is now available for sale). The company hopes to harness the industry knowledge that drivers possess in order to help all drivers improve their work and work life, including how they interact with Electronic Onboard Recorders (EOBRs) and other telematics solutions.

“We believe in listening to the driver, the person with hands on the wheel and a real knowledge about how things work on the road,” said Ryan Barnett, director of market development for XRS. “Our goal has always been to develop products that make life easier and better for the driver, and we are excited to get valuable input from our Driver Xperience Board members who are willing to share their honest opinions.”

The Driver Xperience Board will function as the voice of the driver at XRS, helping the company to understand how life on the road impacts the solutions that technology companies offer. While fleet managers and logistics experts make big-picture decisions about technology implementation, it's the drivers themselves who are in control of daily decision-making and interact most closely with in-cab technology products like those provided by XRS. Input from the Board will also be used to help guide the company's product development process, marketing efforts and ongoing communication with drivers via media outlets, the Internet and direct outreach.

The XRS Driver Xperience Board will kick-off at MATS with a driver-only event at Churchill Downs. The inaugural meeting will include dinner, beverages and door prizes. Drivers interested in participating are invited to come by the XRS booth (#66144) at MATS or to apply online.
