3 ArcBest Drivers To Join 2019-2020 America's Road Team

Last week, ArcBest reported that three ABF Freight drivers have been selected as of captains of the 2019-2020 America’s Road Team, a program facilitated by the American Trucking Associations. 

According to sources at ArcBest, Scott Davis of Missouri, Sammy Brewster of Georgia and Todd Wilemon of Mississippi will join the group of 18 captains for America’s Road Team. 

“These professional drivers demonstrate professionalism and integrity and know the importance of safety,” ABF Freight President Tim Thorne said. “We are very proud that Sammy, Scott and Todd represent ABF Freight and our entire organization as well as the trucking industry. Their experience and passion should serve as an inspiration to other drivers."

ArcBest reports that the three drivers selected for the current class of America’s Road Team were also selected for the 2018-2019 ABF Freight Road Team, with each driver seeing over 28 years of professional driving and more than 12 years driving with ABF Freight. 

Captains for the 2019-2020 America’s Road Team were selected by a panel of industry officials and trucking news officials, judging contest finalists on their knowledge of the industry, commutation skills and driving record safety.

“These drivers represent the diverse experiences of the 3.5 million professional drivers across the country and will be able to bring their unique stories to new, critical audiences as part of America’s Road Team,” said Chris Spear, president and CEO of the American Trucking Associations.
