Satellite Provider EpicVue Partners With ATA, Hopes To Improve Driver Satisfaction

Late last week, the American Trucking Industries announced that in-cab satellite TV provider EpicVue would renew as an ATA Corporate Partner for its third year.

According to sources at the ATA, EpicVue’s renewal serves as a reminder as the type of services in which drivers may be interested in using while on the road in order to enhance the driving experience. 

"Demonstrating the good quality of life available to truck drivers both on and off the road is an important part of ATA's message as we look to attract the next generation of drivers and keep the high-performing drivers in the industry," said Chris Spear, ATA President and CEO . "Products like the ones offered by EpicVue are a nice perk for drivers on the road,and allow our members to invest in every aspect of the driving experience."

Sources at EpicVue reports that by renewing its status as a Corporate Partner, the company hopes to improve the overall satisfaction of driers on the road.

"There is an industry wide need to improve driver quality of life while also helping fleets reduce recruiting and retention costs," said Lance Platt, CEO at EpicVue. "Our partnership with ATA helps us make motor carriers aware of the value of our driver entertainment technology, and lets us work with stakeholders across the trucking industry to achieve the common goal of maintaining and improving driver satisfaction."

According to EpicVue, services offered include more than 100 channels of DirecTV programming and premium channels such as NFL Sunday ticket and HBO, among other services.

Drivers can reportedly purchase EpicVue services at a nominal upfront fee, with access granted to drivers in their sleeper cabs at any time.
