NFI Director of talent Development To Speak at National Minority Trucking Association 2018

North American supply chain solutions provider NFI reported earlier today that director of talent development at NFI, Dr. Veronica Hawkins will be speaking at the 2018 National Minority Trucking Association from May 11-12 in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Association’s Top Women In Logistics event will feature Hawkins as a keynote speaker alongside three other panelists in an event that NFI reports will generate a sense of respect and awareness for women in the logistics and trucking industry.

“Of the approximately 7.7 million employees in the transportation and logistics industry, only 22.6% are women,” said Hawkins. “Through this event, we hope to empower and encourage other women in the industry, as well as fortify opportunities for both personal and professional success.”

According to NFI, the event Hawkins will speak at will allow speakers to share their success stories as well as discuss strategies that may help women overcome the various challenges they face in the supply chain industry.

NFI reports that as a three-time graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, Hawkins has been in leadership roles in multiple industries in addition to the supply chain industry.
