Earlier today, the American Trucking Associations announced that it has hired Dan Horvath as the new director of safety policy.

A graduate of the 2017 LEAD ATA program, Horvath joins the association following more than 5 years as the director of compliance and safety at TransForce Inc.

Horvath reports that his background in vehicle safety will prove beneficial to him in his new position and that working alongside the ATA will create a synergy that ultimately promotes a great deal of safety.

"I've spent my professional career working in commercial vehicle and highway safety, so I'm excited to bring that experience to ATA to help this industry and our members improve upon trucking's already impressive safety record," said Horvath. "ATA has always been a strong voice for safety and I'm delighted that I now get to be a part of that."
