Arkansas-based trucking and logistics provider ArcBest recently saw recognition with one of the top corporate training programs as ranked by Training magazine at the Training 2018 Conference and Expo in Atlanta, Georgia earlier this year.

Ranking in 12th place among Training magazine’s Top 125 employee training programs, ArcBest has appeared on the list for the ninth year in a row with a higher position on the list than the previous two years.

Jason Turner, ArcBest Vice President of Talent and Growth Initiatives reports that a company-wide focus on growth has led to success and an industry acknowledgement of success.

“Our ArcBest core value of Growth inspires us to grow our people so that we can grow our business. Our investment in employee development is a foundational aspect of our culture,” said Turner.

According to Erin Gattis, ArcBest chief human resources officer, reports that ensuring leadership goals are met is an important part of ongoing initiatives at the company that helps ArcBest grow with the future of the logistics and trucking industry.

“Our team has a goal of ensuring every employee in our organization has the opportunity for ongoing personal and professional growth,” said Gattis. “It’s exciting to be recognized for the continued evolution of our development programs and for it to be among some very tough competition.”

ArcBest reports that the criteria for the Training Top 125 is based on total training budget, number of training hours within an employee training program, annual hours of training per employee, among other factors.

“The 2018 Training Top 125 winners are game changers,” said Lorri Freifeld, Training magazine Editor-in-Chief. “They constantly look for innovative ways to effectively deliver and measure employee training, and they are rewarded with an engaged, passionate workforce and organizational success.”
