Earlier today, the Southlake, Texas-based transportation and logistics company, Andrews Logistics announced the purchase of a new maintenance facility and 11,200 square-foot office in order to replace the previous base for the company in Los Angeles.

The nationwide bulk liquid and hazardous material transporter reports that the new facility and office space in Los Angeles will allow for Andrews Logistics to provide more room for its equipment as well as a larger space for its driver break room.

J. Darron Eschle, CEO of Andrews Logistics reports that the new real estate will provide for more resources in order to serve the California region in a more efficient manner.

"We've been in the California market for about 16 years now, and our facility has been at maximum capacity for some time," said Eschle. "We decided to invest in a new terminal, not only to increase our opportunities in California directly, but also to broaden our service capabilities from coast to coast."

Eschle reports that expansion throughout Southern California remains part of the Andrews Logistics plan to increase the presence throughout the state and the overall trucking capacity of the company.

Additionally, Eschle reports that Andrews Logistics is preparing for constraints in capacity that may be caused after the ELD mandate takes effect on the 18 of next month.

"Andrews Logistics has been fully compliant with the ELD mandate for more than three years now," Eschle said. "We're aggressively building our driver force and capacity nationwide to ensure we'll be able to serve our customers' future needs, and to quickly respond to new opportunities."

According to Andrews Logistics, two other new locations for the company include a Charleston, South Carolina satellite terminal as well as a new terminal in the Chicago area.
